Can i use a kenwood tm-d710a to connect to the WIRES II network? since it has the data port.
It seems that the Wires network has been led by Yaesu as an alternative to Echolink.
Suposedely Wires has better features , but the Echolink system has been more widely adopted.
The Kenwood rig can be connected as a Echolink node through a PC , but the wires network requires a Wires Node transceiver , or other dedicated hardware for the internet connection.
So I would say NO , your radio cannot be set up as a Wires node.
